What a wonderful journey these last 5 years have been! It's amazing how fast our boys are growing up and talking more and more each day. The precious memories that are made each and every day cannot be bottled so we felt that this would be the next best thing. We look forward to sharing with you all the tremendous love we have for our family!

Nashville, Arkansas Home Sweet Home

Every year the second weekend in June we head to Nashville, Arkansas to my Uncle Doug's house for our family BBQ. We look forward to this weekend every year! It is so much fun to visit with family, old friends and OH MY....the food is unreal! We start on Saturday with all day fun and great food then come back on Sunday morning for a breakfast cooked on burners outside..... yum, so good!! Uncle Doug and Uncle Wayne always have the tractors ready to take the kids on rides. The kids have a BLAST riding the tractors, playing ball, and just running around with their cousins.
This year we started a new tradition of family games. Thanks Ellen for putting this together, it was so much fun! Did I mention that the Gallaher's brought home the trophy!!!! We had a bubble gum blowing contest, a three legged race ( which Jamie and I got 1st place) a softball game, a ride-on car race for the kids (Chandler and Elliott won!) a sponge bucket race and lots more. We ended the night with Mom and her four siblings playing a game of jeopardy. It was lots of fun!!

Aunt Sue won jeopardy but The Gallaher's take home the trophy!!!!

I don't think Caleb came off of this tractor the whole weekend.....

and Ace did not leave "Dawgs" side all weekend....poor "Dawg"

Main street....
and this was our house where I grew up. Every year I have to drive out there to see it. I remember the day my Dad planted those trees in the yard. I can't believe how big they are now. Lots of good memories.....

Thank you Uncle Doug and Aunt Neva for getting us together every year. Already counting down the days until next June!

Nothing like going back home! Even though I'm only 3 1/2 hours away, I don't get back like I should! Going back in a couple of weeks for my baby shower that's being hosted at Mother's church in Mineral Springs!! Life keeps us so busy otherwise!

Jennifer, I hate that we missed you during your trip. Looks like ya'll had a good time! Tony says he's gonna give me his cell phone number next year so I can find ya'll where ever you may roam!

Too funny and sad that you drive by your old house. I think about ya'll every time I go out on that highway! I remember your white bedspread and lace curtains and country blue paint and I thought it was THE house! :) It always felt like home there! I also vividly remember losing my brand new penny loafer in the creek and Mandy Worthington jumping in to rescue it! OHHHHH - how funny....such good memories is right!

I just came across your blog. Your family is beautiful!!!! I grew up in Little Rock but all my family is from small town Arkansas. I love going back. Yes...the tractor rides! Shooting fireworks on the 4th of July. Family cook-outs and pot luck dinners. Helping my grandpa in his garden. Swinging in the tire swing. Going to the general store for ice cream. Playing in the creek. Awww..such great memories! It is so familiar and gives me such warm feelings of my childhood. My husband grew up in the big city and just doesn't understand it.
